
I always heard that avocados were full of bad things for you, that you shouldn't eat too much because it will make you fat. Some people are so full of it and ignorant. There is such a thing as the different between good fats and bad fats, just like good carbs and bad carbs. Avocados are full of good fats. Like anything with fat though, too much can be a killer; but don't hesitate for a second when you reach for an avocado at the grocery store. Not only is it good for your health as its full of GOOD monosaturated fat and is also a winner in heart health, but it also makes for a great facial mask :)
The oleic acid found in the green flesh of the fruit has been known to help lower cholesterol, and it is also very rich in potassium and fiber. In Vegetarian Times' Healing Foods Cookbook, it is also recommended to try using avocado as a substitute in baking for eggs and butter. Who'da thunk?!
So go make some guacamole, and dip some chips in it or slab it on your face - and enjoy a simple ride to health inside and out!
